2010: Android will surpass iPhone users by the end of this year

Nom Nom Nom. That’s the sound you hear from Android chomping away at iPhone user stats. According to a statistics presented by AdMob network, Android will win because of the OS offers a wide variety of handsets. In addition, there are already more than 50 Android devices in the market worldwide. Android is also offered by all major U.S. Carriers, including up and coming MetroPCS, while the iPhone is still married to the AT&T network. Even though Apple statistic on app usage far outnumbers the Android platform, the worldwide adoption of an operating system, by across multiple manufactures and carriers, for a single OS, has never been achieved in such a short amount of time before. The best chance Apple has to capture even more market share is the release of a CDMA handset within the next 12 months.
