iPhone 4 “coming soon” to Virgin Mobile in Canada

Virgin Mobile now shows that the they will be carrying the iPhone 4 “soon.” There is not any info on release date or the pricing structure they will use but they join Rogers, Fido, Bell and TELUS in carrying the iPhone 4. If you register on the website they will tell you when it will be available for purchase from them.

Sprint drops subscribers but no layoffs in the mix

Ah Sprint. How I love thee? I wake up to news this morning that Sprint had lost 148,000 net subscribers in the fourth quarter, from 1.27 million a year earlier. The decline in highly valuable contract customers, who generate average monthly revenue of $55, fell by more than half, to 504,000.  Revenues slipped to $32.3 billion last year, though Sprint held the drop to less than 10 percent. But yet in the same breath I read that Sprint is also looking to expand it’s prepaid business. Hit the link for more. Sprint eyes MetroPCS and/or Leap Wireless to dominate pre-paid market?

Sprint (NYSE: S) Nextel coporation, which already owns the Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile USA (NYSE: VM) brands, maybe interested in acquiring MetroPCS Communications to have utter domination the prepaid wireless marketplace.
