WANTED: CEO for Finland’s Nokia

Looks like Nokia’s current CEO, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, is having a hard time trying to come up with ideas to compete with the likes of Apple and Android in the smartphone world. Nokia, which has been a leader in high end smartphone handsets, is struggling to conform to today’s device models. Not that Nokia can’t compete, but the problem is threefold:

  1. Getting new devices ready, tested and out on time
  2. Using a single OS for all their devices: Meego
  3. Making an appeal to the U.S. consumer

The lack of focus in those three general areas have landed Nokia’s stock in the southern direction. Nokia’s New York Stock Exchange trading is off nearly 42% since April 19, a huge blow to the company. Read more of this post
