Apple made iPhone apps have their limits, iMovie is no exception

iMovie is Apple’s latest paid creation. An iPhone app that will be available for $4.99 in the App Store. Don’t get us wrong, when we saw this app shown off during Apple’s WWDC Keynote, we were absolutely blown away. iMovie is a full-blown movie editing application for your phone. With Apple’s new 5MP camera and increased camera quality with 720p recording, editing movies will be fun and quite useful. Sometimes the best of  things looks great on stage, but when you find out the limits off the stage you could feel quite let down. Much like I do right now after finding out that the iMovie application is pretty gimped. So whats wrong with it? Read on! Read more of this post

WWDC 2010: iMovie for iPhone

Just after showing off the iPhone 4’s new camera features, Steve Jobs jumped right into showing off the new iPhone 4 iMovie application. This is an all new video editing tool for the iPhone to control all of your iPhone movies.

You can view and edit movies, crop, cut, shorten, and more! Geolocation is now saved on your phone’s videos and iMovie can pick up on that automatically. You can add/remove audio tracks to the video. You can actually rotate your phone to landscape and record additional video that will be instantly added to the video you are editing. You can choose your export size right in the application. You can use all sorts of multitouch features and you can add Photos to the video. So how do you get your hands on all these goodies? iMovie will be $4.99 in the App store and they jokingly say, “It has been approved”.
